Chris Bamberger3月 25, 2016Love atmosphere, have had great steak here, but clarify with server about doneness. Many places, I'll ask for "medium" to get what I'VE always thought of as "medium rare." JG's "medium" was med well!

The place is the only upscale restaurant worth going to in McLean. Try their steaks. Really good!

- Jessica Padilla3月 20, 2012Their Blackened Chicken Tortilla soup, Crab bisque and Baby greens salad is pretty good. Their service is mediocre, unless you're elderly or their for business purposes. All-in-all, it's a good choice
- Make sure to tip your bartenders! If you can eat and drink at J. Gilbert's; you can afford to tip!
Dimitros M3月 28, 2013Its been 3-4 yrs since been here last. Food quality has gone down.The steak is more like pub steak. The rissotto was undercooked. And im not sure what kind of oysters came out. Maybe just a bad night?
Go to Gilberts. Get Sunday Brunch -- with chocolate fountain. If you have to go for lunch, get Maytag Blue Cheese Potato Chips. And say hi to Jack.

- Lunch is amazing, steak is incredible and don't miss out on their fab bartenders
