Go at the crack of dawn (like a bit before 5.30am) any day for the tuna auction, get a bowl of tuna sashimi at a stall, and then go take a nap at the hamarikyu botanical gardens nearby.
After you've seen the tuna auctions at Tsukiji, wander over here as it opens and get the garden all to yourself. Take a nap in the middle of it.
One of the best things to do in Japan, and nobody goes. Head to the island of Naoshima. It's a two-day trip. It's an arts colony. It's amazing. Really.

Such an incredible Buddhist Temple. It has like a million types of moss, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Hike around the island as much as possible (including all the way to the top). Feed the deer. Find some monkeys. Watch the sun set over the gate.

Long story short: My buddy said this was the best pizza in the world. I doubted him. I was wrong. Best pizza I've ever had. Get the margarita pizza, skip the marinara. You need the cheese.
