A real gem of a bar. Take a seat in the tiny area at the back overlooking canals. Bar staff very friendly and drinks at a reasonable price.
Solid sushi. Quite expensive, though, but that's the state of Amsterdam's pathetic sushi scene.

Super friendly staff. Great food and sizeable portions. This may be one of a hundred Argentinian steakhouses in Amsterdam, but it definitely stands out.

Couscous salad is absolutely great. Definitely my recommendation for an ealthy lunch. The atmosphere is cozy and the people working there are really kind and friendly
Very affordable fast Thai option near the station. Can get busy at dinner hours, but you can usually squeeze in at the window and get some good spicy Thai.
Very authentic Hong Kong flavor. Try anything that is not on the menu of a common dutch "chinese restaurant". Rice stick soups are awesome.
Cheap, fresh salad rolls and pho from great stock. Home made iced tea and throwback r&b selected by the staff.
Great peking duck pancakes, also, get the frog legs. Garlicky. Be sure to visit an ATM, only cash accepted.
