Go to the very top of the tower for a great view over Beverley's historic rooftops.
The audio tour is essential. Ask for the family version if you have small children with you.
It's too big to do it all in one day. Choose the bits you like the sound of and do it in parts.
If there's a queue for the lift, take the stairs. Just as fantastic views, but you can go whatever speed you want.
Get there early! This place is huge and it'll take you all day to see everything
Have children with you? There's a great, cheap soft play at the far end of the complex called Neptune's Kingdom
Go in the autumn. It is stunning, much cheaper to get in, and almost deserted.
The bird of prey centre is well worth a visit. Don't miss the bird demonstration as this is the best bit.
Lovely place. you can hop on the steam railway to Goathland, or all the way through to Whitby.
Fab little playpark for youngsters next to the village hall (west end of the main street)
Feed the fish. Food isn't cheap at £1 a tub but it has to be done. And don't get too close!
You can refill your water bottles in the water play area. The tap is labelled as drinking water.
The baboon bus is extra money but worth it if you want to take photos and have all the fun of the baboons with none of the damage to your car. Coffee shop sells cold meals and lunch boxes.
Everything! It's the tops for kids up to about the age of 12. There's oceans of space to absorb big crowds so there's no pushing and shoving.
