Reasonably priced, tasty fish tacos and burritos. My fave is the fish & shrimp burrito.
Crab and pork soup dumplings. Don’t order anything else. Just eat as many of these as your body and wallet will allow.
Hidden gem near Tsujiki. Beautiful grounds and cheap admission. Get tea service at the little tea house buy the pond.
Incredible quality for the price. The omakase is only $60 but it’s 25 courses. My girlfriend was seriously struggling to finish, so don’t eat anything for several hours beforehand.
Our favorite part of our 9 days in Japan. Pay the extra amount for a room with private bath on the balcony and rent the rooftop onsen for 45 mins for about $30.
More great coffee. I bought 2 bags of their beans to take back to the US. Highly recommend.
Totally worth the trip and much less crowded than other tourist destinations. Buy some bags of food to feed the baby monkeys.

If you don’t get there crazy early, the first 20 mins of the path will be stupid packed. Even still, do the full lap. It’s about an hour and a half and it’s much less crowded about halfway through.
The best pour over I’ve had in my life and the most knowledgeable baristas. This place is an absolute must for coffee enthusiasts.

This place is weird as shit and probably overpriced at $10, but I still think it’s worth doing for the weird LA experience.
My new fave spot in Sawtelle! Get the Tokyo style noodles with the delicious sesame broth & don’t wimp out on the numbing level. I always go for at least 3 spicy and 4 numbing (out of 6).
