Small temple, later converted into a baptistry. Headless black granite sphinx is guarding the entrance. The most beautiful part of the temple is the amazing ceiling so don't forget to look up.
The cathedral was named after St Duje, patron saint of Split (3rd century Bishop). The main part is Emperor Diocletian's mausoleum (end of the 3rd century). The Bell Tower was constructed in 1100 AD.
Peristyle, magnificent and unique historical courtyard, perfectly captures the essence of the Diocletian's Palace. It is a hang-out spot for the city's youth.
