Compass5月 14, 2014Italian schoolhouse decor and mouthwatering pasta give plenty reason to stay, but those in-the-know call ahead for take-home meatballs and jarred sauces and sides from the mini market up front.
I can't stress this enough but if they are offering the seafood stew for 2 you must get it. It's one of those special dishes that you will remember a place for. 2 thumbs and all that.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Carroll Gardens. The menu is seasonal and changes regularly. Start with a few of the smaller plates to share.

This place is all about the specials. Seasonal goodness and amazing butters (like tomato butter)

The homemade chicken sausage that appears in a few dishes is excellent, as are the sauces. For dessert get one of the Phinzy and Phoebe ice creams - my roommates swear by the Ginger Cookie flavor

The roast sweet potatoes are delicious & the Hayley Bazen Blue is from Jasper Hill in VT. Delish, sizable portion. A neighbor raved about the seafood stew.

Andrea Barrezueta12月 14, 2015I can't decide whether I liked this place or not. The food was nice but the menu was confusing. So was the decor and service wasn't great. What put me off was how dirty the steps at the entrance were.
Tomato butter/burrata tagliatelle has been off the menu for months and it is devastating.

The Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches like WHOA. highly recommend the potato chip cookie w/candied bacon ice cream.
