I prefer this market than Boqueria. Smaller, less tourists. A couple eateries full of locals. Slows down around 1 pm.
Produce "fresh from the market" is no trouble here as the restaurant is located within the excellent Santa Caterina Market.Fortunately they know how to convert great produce into great dishes as well!
Rooms are cleans, services are good, nice view on the sea. Just one negative point, the swimming pool is a little bit small. But i really recommends this hotel.

Great vermouth, incredible wine selection and the most delicious tapas imaginable. Old-world charm and cramped (no seating), but absolutely worth it! Amazing!
The drinks menu is extensive. Great vermouth (the Falset is terrific), cocktails of all kinds, spritz, etc. Good selection of tapas, pizzas and sandwiches. Friendly service and reasonable prices.
Day one - 1.30pm: A short stroll seawards from here will take you to Tapaç24 (0034 93 488 09 77; carlesabellan.com), one of the city’s best tapas bars, but get here well before 2pm for a seat.

Worst service I have ever encountered anywhere. After today's experience I will never go back and wouldn't encourage anyone else to until they sort out their badly trained rude staff.

A really good place to eat & chat! We were visiting Barcelona for a business trip and had tapas in several places during our stay. Lolita is by far the best one w/ great atmosphere & great tapas.
Great little surf school and rental right at the beach! tourist friendly and great prices (surfboard 1h for 13€ plus 7€ for wetsuit)! they have showers, toilet and changing rooms!

Great place. Locals are sitting next to us which is a good sign. Get a table outside (you can sit inside and wait until someone outside leaves then ask waiter move your dishes). Seafood's delicious

This is a place for the local people, but the food is excellent!!! It is expensive though and you get a lot of courses (no menu card). Do not be affraid to say stop!
On arrival - 8pm: Head for the great Gothic cathedral, and the tangle of medieval streets around it – you’ll get lost, everybody does, but that’s the charm of the Barri Gòtic.
