Caleb T5月 14, 2011My perfect Blackbird visit. An Apple Chai with a shot of amaretto for a drink, and a roast beef with Swiss on a pretzel roll bun. Easily fixes anything a bad day could throw at you.
Ask for either "something lunchy" or "something dinnery," let them know of you have any allergies and then let them whip up something magical! The best way to order!
Christine Hisick9月 21, 2012I order from Blackbird because they can deliver a good lunch when I'm too busy to get out. The soups are always super-delicious; my favorite is the butternut squash. And they deliver in 20-30 min.

If you like blue cheese and Ruebens, then the blue cheese rueben is a must.- Hard to go wrong here, but try the Roasted Veggie on Pretzel Roll w/Goat Cheese. Redefines the sandwich for others to follow. Use a fork and enjoy it like a meal.

Had the chicken pesto panini and tried the chai tea. Both were great! Atmosphere is perfect if you're looking for a low key night!
Definitely best cafe in Valpo! Awesome atmosphere, great people, amazing food and baked goods all made from scratch!
Alex (I'm pretty sure that is her name) makes my tea with minimal sarcasm...and I appreciate that.

- Keep an eye out for Blackbird Bakery at the corner of Washington & Jefferson. Good baked goods to go!
