City of New York: The Williamsburg Bridge was the first bridge with all-steel towers. The 310-foot steel towers support four cables, each measuring 18 inches in diameter and weighing 4,344 tons!

HISTORY: After completion in 1903, the Williamsburg Bridge set the record for the longest suspension bridge. The record was broken in 1924 when the Bear Mountain Bridge was completed.
