There are only 3 bridges across the Grand Canal, each is unique, there are toilets under the steps. People have been putting padlocks on the bridge.
La Fenice was burnt in 1996. Many of the most famous Verdi's operas were introduced there for the first time.
Incredible array of tombs, memorials, altars, carved wooden choir stalls, a Titian and a Donatello sculpture. Not bad going for one church.
Market during the day, student hang out in the evening... Be sure to order a Spritz con Aperol to "take away" and drink it on the plaza...
