HISTORY: On his visit to Dallas on November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy rode in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza. Suddenly shots were fired, killing JFK. Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shots from here.
HISTORY: This 30-foot-high monument was erected in 1970. The open-air structure in the historic West End resembles an ancient tomb. It's the first memorial by famed architect & Kennedy friend Philip Johnson.

Kristine Tague: This is definitely a must-see on a trip to Dallas. Everyone knows the story, but it's very different to actually be there. See it in person, take the iPhone tour from the sixth floor museum.
HISTORY: This collection of Asian art includes more than 300 paintings, sculptures & architectural items. Although originally acquired for personal enjoyment, many pieces in this collection are museum quality.
HISTORY: The Dallas Arts District is home to numerous performing and visual arts venues, including the Dallas Theater Center. World-class culture abounds with ongoing art, music, drama and dance performances.
