The building where one of music's greatest icons was tragically shot. Gaze at the amazing architecture and then pay your respects by visiting the nearby memorial at Strawberry Fields in Central Park.
Go to Marriott Marquis Hotel and Take elevators to 8th floor. There's a nice bar there where you can sit by the window and watch the action in Times Square.
You can catch a breather while walking around and sit on the steps out front but we recommend venturing inside to see the simply spectacular Reading Room.

This is the most amazing place for drinks at sundown. A great view of the city, and a beautiful rooftop. Make sure to dress nice!
Unfortunately this beautiful Art Deco building’s observation deck has been closed since 1945. The marble lobby is open to visitors though, and it’s free!
I love the fact that you can buy really juicy nectarines here. Just be prepared to pay a premium.

Catch fall shows "Chaos and Classicism: Art in France, Italy, and Germany" (Oct 1) and "Vox Populi: Posters of the Interwar Years" (Sept 1) between 5:45pm-7:45pm on Saturdays when admission is free.
This is a misnomer. It is both a pedestrian and a bike path although not a few cyclists seem to be cognizant of the rules on this path.
