On the small side, but good variety of animals. They take good care of them here and the animals seem happy. Giraffe feeding is fun. The otters are always out playing, they're my favorite part!
Animals at Reid Park Zoo tend to be most active-and the crowds smallest-in the morning & shortly before closing. While here don’t miss a camel ride or giraffe encounter for the ultimate meet-and-greet
Everything! I was there even when it was really hot (110) and most of the animals were still very active! When it was too hot for me I went to the learning center and enjoyed the animals there
Definitely go first thing in the morning because the animals are out and more playful. Its a great place to go for play dates and to get the kids outside. You can go through it fast or take your tim
I love the giraffes, always have and still want to feed one (it’s on the bucket list). Lot’s of friendly folk to talk to and great place to just stroll and observe that animal behavior.
The zoo is always a hit with children. Thanks to the new Elephant expansion, the zoo feel bigger. There are a lot more hands-on activities for children.
Did you know? The Zoo was founded in 1965 with a collection of birds, prairie dogs, farm animals, and a few squirrel monkeys. Today it is home to hundreds of exotic animals from several continents.
Nice little cityzoo. A childhood favorite. They have a train (tram) outside the entrance that runs through the park and a water play feature inside the zoo. Polar bears are my favorite.
Fun during the day but do not trust events. Went to Family Fun Night. Advertised crafts - got paper and crayons. Games was $3.00 kids toy. Advertised a movie that never happened. This was a scam.
Not impressed with ZooLights Event. They closed off half the zoo. I came here for Photo opportunities. If you have kids I imagine this would be much more eventful.
