One of the best parks I've ever been too. Offers trails for running, walking and exploring! Plenty of places to stop, relax, picnic, etc. Takes a completely different pace from the rest of the area!
Beautiful ~600 acres that seems endless, designed by the same architects of Central Park (but known as their fave!). Full of gems like the boathouse, skating rink, lakes, & great bike/running routes.
Brooklyn residents love Prospect Park, and with good reason: green spaces, curved walkways, summer concerts, vivid foliage in autumn, and an all-season skating rink make it a year-round getaway. 続きを見る
Places to Run: Take your pick! Take a 3.68-mile run around the entire park, or take in serene views of Prospect Park Lake with its 1.76-mile loop. 続きを見る
This park is absolutely gorgeous with many different trails for hiking. The Picnic House area is excellent for having a bbq - but you have to show up really early (7am) to secure a spot.
Have a dog? Off-leash hours for the entire park until 9 am every day. Best in the city. Don't have a dog? Come here before 9 am and play with a sea of dogs.
Vanderbilt playground has a fabulous enclosed area for toddlers with a climbing structure and water feature in the summer. Excellent big "spider web" for older kids and decent shade.
LOVE the dog beach! what a great thing for dogs to play in 😍 this park is relatively clean and is well-lit once it's dark. I feel safe on the track in the evenings. I have seen cops patrol often.
My favorite park in Brooklyn. You truly feel like you're in a different world when you visit Prospect Park. The bandshell, the zoo, the boathouse and so much more! Come here to distress, it's worth it
Fall Foliage: Spot the beautiful, changing colors of autumn at the Long Meadow, the Lullwater and the Ravine, all must-see destinations in the park’s 526 acres.
rospect Park run's a tad shorter—3.35 miles around the main loop, as compared with 5.2 or 6.1 miles around Central—there are fewer cars, bikes and people to get in your way here. 続きを見る
Conheci numa tarde fria do outono nova-iorquino, com pista de patinação, mas o que me chamou a atenção foi o lago e os vários patos e gansos curtindo a vida por lá!!!
Beautiful & Spacious area. Perfect for summer picnics & hiking. Feels refreshing, relaxing, calming. Completely surrounded by greenery and pretty flowers. Amazing lakes and i love the summer concerts.
One of the best parks in Brooklyn! Very huge park that houses the beautiful Botanical Garden! Great areas of selection to have a BBQ & there are many events occurring here throughout the summer!!
On days with heavy snowfall, head to the tennis house near 9th St. for a NYC Parks Snow Day! We have sleds, free hot chocolate, snow angel contests, snowball fights, and more! 続きを見る
Absolutely huge. Prepare to spend your whole day exploring. It's fun to pull up a blanket and watch people playing sports, check out the botanical gardens next door too.
Walk along the south shore of the lake in fall: the sugar maples are the first trees to change color, and everything is reflected in the water, doubling the spectacle.
The off-leash hours are a dog lovers' paradise. Hundreds of happy pooches running around, while their owners chat over morning coffee. Great way to start the day!
best park in the city, hands down. not touristy, but you can get lost in the middle of it (in a good way). even better when celebrate brooklyn does their free shows in the summer.
Few people in park today, but many dogs, making my dogs very happy. Nonstop gray sky, but mild 70F all day. Home now, sated by fine nosh from park. If I eat anymore today, it’ll be only sushi/sashimi.
My favorite park in the city! Aside from Grand FerryPark (more quaint and small). If you're looking for an alternative to CP with lots of picnic spots, go!
Disembark at the 15th St–Prospect Park F or G stop for easy access to the public barbecues nearby; or just pack your blanket and some ready-to-eat snacks and make for the gently sloping pasture. 続きを見る
Check out the view from Lookout Hill. On a clear day, see if you can spot the Parachute Jump on Coney Island, the Gil Hodges Bridge to Rockaway, and some of the steeples of the "Borough of Churches."

Spend a day enjoying public amenities (from a year-round tennis center and summer concertamphitheater to a seasonal ice skating rink) at the sprawling, well-manicured green space.
This is honestly the best looking park i've ever seen! I usually come here and let my daughter walk around with her friends! I use Easy Spy to monitor where they go! 続きを見る
I can be found in running in this park on most Sundays and any number of days per week every week. I have every detail of every inch of this park memorized as if it were my lover.
This is home to the Brooklynites and their refuge from everyday stress. It was also designed by Olmsted and Vaux in 1867 to be different than Central Park as the people's park to relax and recreate.

How can I say anything bad about Prospect Park!?! I grew up in ParkSlope and this was our neighborhoodpark. BBQs in the Summer are always good especially with the free concerts at the Bandshell.
In New York for the summer? Be sure to attend one of the (free!) concerts in Prospect Park! Sweet summer air, great food and drinks, and marvelous music to dance away the night!
