It's a great family park. Great walks alongside the ocean. Kite flying hills to run down and do tumbling. They have a playground that has the rubber matting.
Go early before crowds pour in midday and you'll have better freedom to explore the huge ship. The IMAX that is included in ticket is a must. Take your pics of Texas State Aquarium from flight deck.

If you are a history nerd, you should definitely go check out the USS Lexington. It is a tight squeeze in parts, but worth it. You can even go on the top deck. Watch out for ghosts though ;)
Plan to be there for half the day 4 or 5 hours to really see everything. This place is huge.
Folks start arriving one hour prior to show. Get there early or be prepared to stand.
Love Sunday afternoons here with live music. Try the Shrimp Diablo. Great view of the Lexington. Take the ferry over from the T-heads for a cheap afternoon.
The fish and chips are great. And, just about big enough to share. We also like the crab stuffed fried jalapeños.
Driving, parking and camping are FREE on the beach for all those with a $12.00 Texas beach pass available at all coastal convenient stores.
Camping on the beach is free and you're allowed to have campfires. Bring a trash bag to help clean up the trash that washes up or pick one up in the visitor's center
Check out the dolphins, expect a long wait especially during the warm seasons, and they can't build a bridge because there's not enough land mass... Already asked.
Camp on Malequite beach and you'll never want to leave! Amazingly clean bathrooms, the nicest showera I've seen, and with hot water! Friendly people around yet secluded and gorgeous!
Serves breakfast all day ... great desserts, wonderful coffee .... great variety of food selections.

A lot of space, easy to find parking, no charge for the ones not on the beach. Dogs allowed :)
Lunch at the cafe is wonderful! Great view of the Corpus Christi bay and the US Lexington.
Only go for First Friday as its free to enter. You'll blaze through this in 30 minutes as there's not much. Paying the normal $8 admission would make you feel jipped.
Fun atmosphere and cheap beer on Tuesdays! Usually has live music or something fun going on.
Great place to sit outside and eat. Try the chicken wraps with walnut dressing and don't forget about $2 pint night on Tuesdays!

I love sitting out here watching the dolphins play. There are days when there are 15-20 of them playing. My kids want to sit there all day when the dolphins are out.
Nice long pier. Store and restaurant are nice too. $2 per person and $2 per pole to enter.
Some of the most amazing sun rises you will see. Even can watch the dolphins play on a regular basis. I'm here almost daily at some time during the day.
Excellent kite flying venue. Favors winds from all directions, and the ground is relatively soft for anchoring.
Generous portions and even better lunch prices. The Sunday brunch looks promising too!
Poker Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. Shuffleboard tournaments on Tuesdays. Karaoke on Tuesday and Thursday night with Digit. Always a full house on Saturday nights
Bring your own shopping bag. Arrive by 9 for a good selection and if you want fresh local eggs. The eggs are always gone by 10. The local honey is the best!
Moore plaza is definitely one of my favorite places to shop at! Great shops and restaurants.
This is a great spot to hang out! If your cruising by and you see a 2011 Mustang GT parked in the shade of the towers stop and say hi! This place is special to me. :)
