The weekends are predictably crowded and parking can get tricky. Aside from that, the Getty is quite stunning, inside and out.
If you are into hiking, city views, or just people watching, this is a must-do. Very dog friendly. This is one of our quintessential L.A. destinations.
If you like concerts and you like the outdoors, this is it. If you don't mind the walk, park at the Kodak center instead and take a stroll from there. And don't forget the picnic basket!
Tons of thrift shops, there are some pricy stores and some cheaper ones, nothing you can't find in the Fashion District though. I love all the murals and the graffiti a street back.

The sign was originally constructed in 1923 to promote a subdivision at the top of Beachwood Canyon called Hollywoodland; "land" would later be dropped in 1945 when the area was deeded to the city.

It's easy to walk past this place, but the interior is an extraordinary example of 1920's Moroccan design. Stop in for a coffee or a drink, or just look around. Make sure you visit the courtyard.
