Great spot. Preservation Pub, Tomato Head and Tupelo Honey all have great food. On Union St there's a cool locally made t-shirt shop called Nothing Too Fancy plus a beer bar and other neat shops.
This place has fantastic atmosphere. Something is always happening here, concerts, plays, farmers markets even Ice Skating in Winter. Many lovely places to shop and eat too.
I find myself finishing up a coffee procured in some fine downtown establishment every time I come through Knoxville. Great place to relax. The farmers market on Saturdays is fantastic.
I always bring my out of state family members to Market Square. There's usually always something going onvariety of restaurants, bars, retail stores, farmers market, concerts, festivals, ppl watching

Do not go to Market Square Ice Skating the security guys treat people poorly. The skating rink is smaller and a dollar more than ice chalet. It's over all not worth your time or money
