Plain slices here are disappointing, but don't miss the Palermo, a thick, awesome Sicilian slice topped with bread crumbs and onions. Great Italian ices, too.
Everything Is the Best, but particularly the Pinocchio (proscuittuo, sopressata, mozzarella, sweet red pepers, and olive paste) and the Pavarotti (alami, smoked mozz, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke).

Great plan B of Saigon shack’s wait is too long. The menu here is actually a lot bigger so you have some other options over just pho, Bahn mi and noodles
Saigon Shack’s second location is amazing. It’s trendy, they take credit/debit cards(!), and they have an expanded pho menu with specialties like fried chicken pho and seafood pho (but no bahn-mi).
One of the squeeze bottles at your table is the fish sauce 'nước mắm', a Vietnamese flavor staple. You don't see this lesser pho joints in America. Your soup will benefit from a squirt or two. 続きを読む
The only place in New York to get Bahn Mi. Not literally, of course,but the sandwiches here are so far ahead of others sharing the samename that it's not really fair to call them both Bahn Mi. Get
This Cava has outdoor seating! Get a green and grains bowl with falafel and all the toppings, extra pickled onions.
Take away a bento box, sushi tray, or pickled vegetable salad for lunch, but be sure to browse the snack aisle on your way out, if for no reason other than the allure of the wacky Japanese packaging.
The best udon I have ever had. Noodles are unbelievably chewy perfection, broth is rich and not at all greasy. Bowl with tripe and the Nabeyaki are amazing.
This joint is so overrated that it's somehow become underrated. That being said, this place serves a solid classic NYC pie.
If you're not getting the square slices here, you're doin' it wrong. The Spicy Spring (pepperoni) is my pick here, but the plain square is excellent, too. Best-in-class squares.
