Nicholas Guan: Coffee by 2 time national barista championship winner. Very well balanced coffee. The coffee 'magic' is slightly on the acidic side. Nice cosy place to relax.

Irwan Cornelius: Go for their speciality. Murtabak and Nasi Briyani. Can never go wrong with those! Also beware of their peak hours when it gets really crowded!
Nat M: If you like your XLBs brothy, your dumplings bursting with meat & flavour, and your la mian slightly hard with sauce that isn't MSG-laden, this is a good place to have a meal.
Nat M: Given all the tips for the fish soup, I was expecting more. Still, it was very tasty nonetheless. Goreng Pisang was a win too: semi-riped, batter-covered banana fried to perfection. Have it hot!
Travel Channel: This eatery, established in 1953 is home to famous chicken rice. Most people still speak the traditional dialect of Hainanese here. As seen on Travel Channel’s The Layover with Anthony Bourdain.
Alexander Lobov: Probably the best Spanish food I've had in Singapore. Go for the jamon de pata negra, croquettes, the cuttlefish & the paella. Excellent service too.

Nat M: A bowl of soupy noodles (The Mohinga) here was the best cure for my crappy day. I highly recommend it to those who need something comforting at the end of a long, crappy day at work.
DHR.com: The oldest museum in the country, this is where you can learn about Singapore's history. Don't miss the Living Galleries for film, photography, food, and fashion. 93 Stamford Road. Opens at 10 am.
Alexander Lobov: Arguably the best classic Italian in Singapore. Tagliatelle ragu & burrata in particular but the salami risotto & porchetta are also awesome.
Alexander Lobov: How often do you see Bengali food in SG? Sure the coconut prawn curry is great as are the "fishballs". But the best part: the lady who runs Mustard clearly cares about her food. Slow food done right.
Alexander Lobov: Four floors of Indonesia cool. Casual spot on ground, burgers on second, cocktails on third & rooftop chill at the top. Great design, good burgers, average cocktails & lots of attitude on the door.
Travel + Leisure: The 1887 Raffles has undergone several face-lifts but stays true to its colonial-style past. Sikh doormen welcome guests in the driveway and suites are done up in antiques and Oriental carpets.
Travel + Leisure: A modern alternative to the nearby Fullerton—its sister hotel—this 100-room property stands out from its Neoclassical neighbors with a glass façade and contemporary art collection.
Travel + Leisure: In his funky Tiong Bahru shop-house, owner Kenny Leck carries the city’s largest collection of literary tomes. The back of the store is dedicated to oddities such as vintage cameras and typewriters.
Travel + Leisure: This stylish watering hole caters to a creative crowd; try the Purple Drank, made with vanilla-and-raisin spirit, curaçao, candy gomme, raspberry, and citrus.
Alexander Lobov: Simple setup: basic LM & Oriole coffee but the result is superior to nearby Jewel & Woodshed. The baristas disagree but I think the 5oz as a double ris + milk brings the flavour out of the beans well.
Travel + Leisure: No hotel on Sentosa has the colonial grace of the Capella. The 112 rooms and villas, in the converted 19th-century Royal Artillery buildings, feature private plunge pools and white-on-white bedding.
Alexander Lobov: The food is really quite good & the space looks super cool but brace yourself for buckets of pretension from waitstaff and extremely uncomfortable seating.
Travel + Leisure: This museum explores the culture of the Peranakan (descendants of 17th-century Chinese and Indian immigrants who married local Malays). Inside, find ceremonial jewelry and nyonya porcelain vases.

Alexander Lobov: Sure it's very pricey local food but you pay for the service and the amazing space. Check out the terrace. Forego the laksa - get the rickshaw noodles & wagyu rendang. Mar char cocktail is great.
