Came in with my mom after seeing their ep. of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. A little pricier than your hole-in-the-wall taqueria but the asada is delicious (I had a torta and taco) and great pozole.
Great food and atmosphere!! Guacamole and the Ceviche were excellent as well as the fish tacos! Will be coming back for sure!!

Authentic Mexican food in Little Italy. Usually hard to get a table but worth a short wait. Everything's delicious from the salsa to the sangria to my personal fav, the steak nachos. Can't go wrong.
Some of the best Mexican food you'll find in the city. Great barbacoa, enchiladas suizas, and quesadillas de flor de calabaza. Huge portions, great salsa, guac, horachata too. Reasonable prices.
The fish tacos are grilled to perfection. Warning, the pickled pepper that comes on the side is EXTREMELY SPICY.

The barbacoa, chorizos, and carnitas tacos were really good, if not amazing. The fresh corn tortillas are really good and worth picking up a half or whole kilo for devious things at home.
Quite possibly the tastiest torta I've eaten yet. Al Pastor piled high with lettuce, tomato and spicy salsa makes for a solid sandwich at $7.00
Fantastic food -- try the cactus fries or avocado salad -- one side comes with meal which is a lovely bonus. We had fish tacos and chicken torta -- they get the bread fresh daily from local bakery.

As a connoisseur of Tex Mex, I approve for comfort Mexican food. It’s sacrilegious to not start with guac and seven dips. Pastrami tacos and short rib make your own tacos are🔥. Layer on a few margs!
Empellon's high end offering is not for those on a budget. Sea bream was great. Downtowners will recognize familiar guac, salsa spread and some of the taco offerings

Epic find: the best carnitas (& pollo) taco I've had on the E coast! It goes head-to-head w/ a few of my faves on the W coast. Their tortillas were freshly handmade w/ corn masa right in front of us!
Unless you wanna wait for your food for 1 1/2 hrs, don't come during peak hrs..oh..and don't go when I go. ;p *Hint: they're open late!
A touristy spot but I still love the Grove for the relaxed shopping atmosphere, tacos & aguas frescos at La Lotería in Farmers Mkt, & the star-sightings. Also, I get my parking validated in the Mkt.

It is all delicious! Duck carnitas, endive salad, razor clams all a must. For desert, everyone raves about the husk meringue (and it is v good) but we preferred the caramelised cacao butter.
Really wonderful brunch. Try the duck enmoladas, the tostada, and the chilaquiles:) the sope and nopales salad are also very nice.
Large portions and creative Mexican fare. Sleek and buzzy interiors. Get the Octopus for sure! The duck carnitas are huge so be sure to share amongst 3/4. The uni tostadas were not memorable.

Wow’ed by this fast-food Mex & Pueblan chef! Savory tacos, tortas, tamale, quesadilla w/ fresh & spicy jalapeño & cilantro salsas, menudo, horchata, & Mex Coke! 90% Mexican clientele..the real deal.
Guac too runny for my taste, chips are out of a bag, & quesadillas are ok. But the Carnitas taco (w/ the Salsa verde) is this hole-in-the-wall's shining star! Not cheap for a to-go only kiosk.
