Love how surprisingly fresh & creatively plated the sushi is. Just save me a spot at the sushi bar & order the perfectly fried gyoza along w/ the uni, Grilled Tuna, & Volcano rolls.
If u can't splurge, get $28 sushi+sashimi combo (5 pcs of sushi+2 maki rolls)-incl some of starred fish in omakase. $23 chirashi's also a deal: 4-6 pcs of 5 diff fish & they'll leave out ur dislikes
Two types of omakase at 65 or 85: kappo (cooked dishes with sushi) or all sushi. I prefer the 85 sushi omakase (uni and chutoro my favvvvv).

My new go-to sushi spot. The fish is so fresh and for the price, it's unbelievable. The sea urchin hand roll, baby yellowtail, and salmon are all to die for. Also, jack is the man!!
Come between 5-7pm for that Takahachi special! Great deal and comes with soup, salad and dessert!
From 5 to 7 every day $21.50 gets you miso soup, a salad, 4 appetizers, 4 skewers, a sushi roll, 3 nigiri pieces, a scoop of ice cream, and hot tea. One of the best deals in the East Village.

they have two tiers of omakase here, one of which is a real splurge ($85), but the other one you can kinda justify as a nice night out ($45). and it's all delicious. some of the best sushi in nyc.
Grilled hamachi, duck dish, tofu dish, orange clams, and uni was all so delicious. Service was outstanding . I will definitely return anf recommend to friends.
The sushi is definitely solid but the omakase ($90) isn't that big of a steal, price wise. Instead get the deluxe 10 piece sushi for $45 and add a side or two. I loved the tempura

Try to grab a seat at the chef counter in the back or at the bar counter for a more, intimate yet relaxing feel. Omakase course is always delicious. Awesome pressed sushi - reserve it ahead of time.
Good omakase, but the price keeps increasing. Now it's $58. The fish was good quality and the rice was decent but the seaweed wasn't great and the execution was just so-so.
Simple as hell, genius concept. $50 omakase, in and out in 30 minutes (there's literally a timer). Fish is terrific, comes w/ 12 or 13 pieces, enough to fill you up. Seared wagyu pieces are insane.

Hidden gem in midtown east. It's a Japanese eatery / piano bar / karaoke. They are so generous with the amount of sashimi they put into a bowl. $22 is so worth it for Uni don. Kirin draft is only $4.
