Designed by Robert Moses, “The Panorama of the City of New York” is compulsory viewing for anyone living in the city: a 9,335 square foot model of the city's 320 square miles and 895,000 buildings.

A great museum. Besides being located in the middle of an awesome urban park it has a very eclectic exhibition schedule. As always check out the NYC panorama made by Columbia University students.

It's a small museum. The best part is definitely the diorama of New York City circa 1992. The Tiffany lamps are stunning, there's a few dozen examples here.

The Panorama of New York is worth seeing alone. However, the space is light and airy and the exhibits are interesting. Right out the back window is the globe left over from the 1964-65 World’s Fair.

The exhibits here are wonderful. The facility is small but packed with something to enjoy. They even have a glass staircase (ala Apple Store).

The three-dimensional map of New York, the Panorama, is a must-see attraction. It was constructed for the 1964 World’s Fair and is regularly updated for viewing.

If you come with your friends to gawk at the NYC Panorama, bring a laser pointer so you can point out landmarks to each other.

The Queens Museum underwent a $69 million expansion a year and a half ago that doubled the institution's size with expanded galleries, a new sky-lit atrium, and artist studio wing.

This edifice is among the most storied landmarks that once housed the United Nations. It was constructed for the 1939 World’s Fair and hosted exhibits for both that event and the one in 1964. 続きを見る

Make the trek just for the New York City Panorama – it’s absolutely worth it. Afterwards, take a stroll around the Unisphere and the World’s Fair Pavilion.

The Panorama is a must-see. It’s a 3-D map of all of New York City. Fun fact: Queens Museum’s building was once housed the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Ditto what others say: the Panorama is a must see. I love how artists regularly interact w/ the model of NYC to give it new meanings. And I appreciate QMA's commitment to immigrant, POC, LGBT artists.

I could have stared at the panorama for hours. It should be a NYC rite of passage to come here and try to find your apartment. I also found the Detroit photography exhibit facinating.
