    This joint kills me. Must get the hot pot, their sashimi apps are great too. Highly recommend the prix fixe which is a great deal and a TON of food. Great for bringing picky asian parents too.

    Had grape cider😋, Hakata tonton hot pot😋, and green tea tofu😋for dessert. Everything tastes perfect. Too bad we had too much food earlier that day…Def will come back again and try out other dishes!

    Like their any pigs feet dishes. The sauce can be various. Very authentic, very Chinese like favor too. I have to say. The sashimi is awesome. I have very high standard on sashimi, they passed.

    Make sure you get a reservation. They get busy. Go for the hotpot, it's amazing. But a very large serving. Luckily you have the option to add rice/noodles to make risotto/ramen with whatever remains.

    It’s best to go with a small group of friends, but make sure to get reservations. Your best bet to get a spot is after 10 p.m. This cozy Japanese eatery only seats about 30 guests. 続きを見る

    The hot pot at Hakata Tonton is the perfect remedy for winter. Get the Tonton Hotpot, filled with vegetables, dumplings, and an addictive broth, or the full tasting menu if you're really hungry.

    Kampachi sashimi with garlic ponzu is amazing. Tea is complimentary. Tan tan hot pot is great as well.

    Favorite japanese place in the city hands down. If not getting the hot pot (or as an addition) then be sure to try the garlic fried rice and the yuzu tonton pork! Gyozas are great too

    Start your meal with Pigs feet( Grilled Pork Tonsoku), famous Gyoza. Must order Hakata Tonton hotpot. Go after 10pm for a small or no wait.

    The hotpot is to die for! Gyoza was out of this world too. They told us not to leave a tip as the prices reflect tips but we thought that was overly generous as prices were really reasonable.

    Hands down one of my favorite dining experiences in NYC. The service is attentive without being intrusive, the food is delicious and served in just the right portions. And don't forget your Pez!

    Definitely order the Fried Chicken and the hot pot with the pork belly. Best meal I've had in NYC in a long time and that's saying something considering that Restaurant week just ended.

    Pretty much everything is great here. Some of my favs include: Pork buns (pictured), Gyoza, fried chicken, chicken wings, caviar, okonomoyaki.

    Get the hakata tonton hot pot obviously. Add rice/egg to the broth at the end for some kind of bibimbap like dish.

    Try the Hakata Tonton Hot Pot - A specialty of Hakata, Japan. Collagen broth, tofu, dumplings, vegetables, berkshire pork belly and tonsoku. Love it

    The grilled miso yuzu pork belly is one of the best things ever – it just melts in your mouth. Okonomiyaki, gyoza, and shabu shabu are all great as well!

    Hakata Ton Ton is regional food from Southern Japan and the birthplace of tonkotsu ramen. It might be strange for non-Asians but I love this place.

    Overall a delicious experience. Had the set menu, came w/ 5 apps, hot pot & dessert. Sesame ice cream was so good!

    I truly wish there were vegetarian options here. I know they specialize in pork, but any menu options that aren't pork or beef would be nice at least.

    Don't come near closing time. Food was good but service was terrible. Never explained how they would bring out the food, forgot an appetizer, forgot a dessert, and left us w/o water for a long time.

    Have the salmon carpaccio and then go get your butt washed and dried by their Japanese toilet seat.
