The park is home to more than 4,000 archeological sites, 600 of which are cliff dwellings. For a guided tour inside the amazing Cliff Palace, nab a spot at the Far View Visitor Center.
Great park - be sure to do two days to see it all and not get worn out. Book your tours 14 days out the minute they go on sale as visiting a site makes all the difference.
It was fun going there but I wish they had more hands on things to do and I wish the museum was open plus the trails you basically have to drive to you can’t walk on any.
If you're not afraid of heights, be sure to take the guided tour of Cliff Palace. It's spectacular, and the park rangers are very knowledgeable and entertaining.
Amazing place. Spectacular, fascinating and intriguing. Seeing the houses and settlements set into the cliffs is one of the memories I will keep for a long time.
Take a tour of the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park, and check out this vintage 1970s photo from our Documerica collection of Cliff Palace. 続きを見る
It is an incredible cultural site - you can see it on your own with a simple national parks day pass but can make even more of your trip with a guided tour. 続きを見る
Very poor senior management. Over half the park is closed. Sucks when u pay $80 to tour one of the cliff houses and no attempt made by park to honor cliff house tour & just blame on road contractor.
If your afraid of heights, do not go! But the site is full of history and you get to get up close and view how people used to live. If you have kids, be careful, plenty of places to slip and fall.
