The injeolmi bingsu with no extras is a nice balance between savoury and sweet. It’s also light without being bland. Bring a jumper if going upstairs because it gets cold! Yay for 24h :)
The DIY lightly beaten raw egg "dipping sauce" means you can eat the shabu shabu hot and right out of the soup stock. The soups and remaining raw egg are also great to mix with some rice at the end.
Amazing beef noodles with tender, juicy beef slices and offal. Recommend the mixed beef (dry - squeeze the lime in), or the beef laksa for something different.
Delicious sake, Asahi on tap and a nice variety of Japanese drinks and alcohol. Nice place to chill and hang out.
Order the traditional drinks. The har gow, siew mai were great. Steamed egg with bacon was really disappointing.
Simple, healthy hot n' cold deli sets with a mix of regular and seasonal choices. The seasoning for their fries is unique. I like their alcohol-free "mojito" :)
Chicken nabe base 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Nabe only served for dinner though - ramen at lunch. Don’t bother with the shirakuma dessert. The loyalty program is cute and gets you a free appetiser on 2nd visit.
Come for the crazy bingsu (bibimbap or cheese bingsu, anyone?). The main/side dishes are not really worth it though, even with discount.
Still acceptable, but quality of the food has gone down a lot over the years. Online ratings are misleading, they give diners offers/drinks for high online reviews.
Really disappointing - pricey, not stingy with ingredients but the marinade is strange, raw ingredients poorly prepared and the rice for their dons is poor quality.
Beef hor fun 👍🏻. Hokkien mee is the white version and is also really good. Barley is thick and not watered down. Not so crowded at lunch.
My favourites: beef chilli fries, cold brew matcha, popcorn chicken, their pasta dishes. They don't accept Amex.
Get the egg topping - it's one of the best. Lemon soda went well with our ramen and you can refill it once (soda water and sugar syrup on table). Great ramen broth. Don't bother with chicken karaage.
The rooms build on each other in terms of difficulty so try going from easiest to hardest. There’s a fun “X-factor” in each room - something that makes the rooms unique. Fave escape room in SG.
Good value chirashi! Recommend the salmon sashimi, unagi and scallops (all available in the premium kaisen don). Omakase available when they get a new shipment of fresh fish. Watch out for the queue.
Don’t bother. Games are really expensive and short. Jubeat is old and not connected to the network. Really money-grubbing.
Burgers are great (B Supreme!). Get the chilli beef fries with sriracha mayo on the side.
The omakase is delicious, filling and very well worth it, even at the higher price point.
Recommended: Thai iced milk tea, taro (my fave), cookies and cream, milo vanilla, banana. Not recommended: durian.
Brightly lit arcade with 3 purikura (photo sticker) machines, some slightly older games like basketball, Time Crisis 2&4, DDR Supernova 2. 2RM for an arcade card, average 1RM per game, 13RM for puri.
Sweet potato gelato was pretty different (in a good way) but the sweet potato bingsu is crazy expensive (almost 30RM), was really bland and more like ice kacang.
Ayam panggang (Set 1) is really nice, ask for extra sauce for the rice 😊
The biryani and gravy were really good but give the deer murtabak a miss, the meat really wasn’t fresh (it’s advertised a lot in the store/menu).
The tendon & tempura is really good (I mean, it's their signature) and super filling but the chirashidon is also yummy! The meal set versions of dishes is worth it - the chawanmushi is nicely done.
The dahl and fish curry is good. The prata don't look like much but are crispy and fresh.
Pork collar and squid ink rissoto were good. We also had mussels and tiramisu, those were okay.
One of our favourite drink stops. My fave is the coconut shake with coconut ice cream, 25% sugar.
Omakase is still excellent value for money - the chefs love to play around so it's guaranteed to be a fun evening. The sashimi and wagyu were the best.
Come for the crazy promotions they sometimes do (e.g. 1-for-1 buffet). It's not really worth the money otherwise.
Better value games than most arcades/prize places these days & they still use old-school tokens & tickets (bring cash in small notes for the token machine). The left gun on Gun Bullet is broken.
Best bobor chacha in Singapore so far. Really nice to go to after eating the laksa next door 😊
Go for extra char siew & def. add ajitsuke tamago if not going for the all-toppings special! The karashi (spicy) stock is great to mix things up a bit. 6 years on & still my fave chicken-based ramen.
Authentic, really nice assam laksa! The cooling teas are nice too if a bit pricey. The kway teow was meh.
The beef brisket is melt-in-your-mouth soft and delicious. Ribs are really good too!
Hamaguri clam and pork broth is unique and must-try but everything we tried was delicious. Watch out for the queue and prepare to wait longer if you want to sit inside.
Pricey. The spicy lamb pizza (thin crust) and the banana kiwi smoothie were nice. The signature pizza (thick crust) was okay and the peanut butter fries are not worth the novelty factor.
Really good twists on old-school Chinese pancakes. Serving sizes are huge - order with friends.
Hipster af. The bottled and draught cold brews are among the best I've tried in Singapore. Food is also good here with a new menu every now and then.
Creative, yummy vegetarian food. Really like the black pepper spaghetti and the salted egg hash bites. Eating buddy didn't even realise the place was vegetarian until halfway through the meal 😂
A lot of tempura / tendon, good value. The udon is really soft and nice if you get the set.
Delicious squid ink spaghetti (slightly smaller serving size than I’m used to though) and the pizzas are so good 👌🏼
