My favorite bar. Period. Fried chicken is even better than Pies-N-Things. Yeah, I said it. If it's Friday night and I'm not out of town, I'll be here, feel free to say hi.
Bacon appetizer. Creamed spinach. STEAK, dipped in the boiling juices. Since 1887.
Expensive? Yup. Trendy? You betcha. A line to get in? In Williamsburg? All true, but once you get up there and see the view of the sunset over Manhattan, none of that really matters.
The fried chicken is what they're famous for, but the brunch is my favorite. If you're skeptical of putting sausage gravy on eggs & cheese on a biscuit, don't be, it's amazing.
Brisket, pork, sausage, beans, sauerkraut, mac and cheese, GET IT ALL and make amazing little sandwiches with your potato rolls. Oh! and try all the different bbq sauces, they're all awesome.

Chef's tasting menu is like a non-stop flavor assault on your tastebuds. It's fully worth the $80 and I highly recommend it.

Everything is always amazing. Whiskey selection is impressive. And if you're an LCD Soundsystem fan, this is the place they have the final dinner in "Shut Up and Play the Hits".
$4 for a Bud Light in a styrofoam cup the size of your head. Great local vibe. Was here for New Year's last year, had an amazing time.
This place always has a crazy line, but it is DAMN good! The southern-style breakfast biscuit sandwich is amazing. Order it to go.

When I work from home, I work from here. Delicious coffee, free wifi, good music, and if you get there before 10am, a place to sit.
Underrated. Unlike most East Coast spots, they offer refried beans in your burrito not just black vs. pinto.

There's nothing on the menu that really stands out, I just really like this place for some reason. Waitstaff is friendly and it's a lot roomier than most restaurants in the area.
It's expensive, service is meh, and the loud rap music doesn't really jive with candlelit dinner with wine. BUT, the pizza is delicious.
Too broke for the show? Sit down at the bar, order a $3 beer and watch the show through the huge glass window. Works great when they run the live sound into the bar, still kinda funny when they don't.
Tasty burgers, but these people saying it's better than Shake Shack must be smoking crack. Either that or they haven't had a double shack at Madison Square in awhile.

Any poached egg special of the day is going to be delicious. The one I tried with sauteed watercress and pancetta white bean puree on country toast was fantastic.
The pumpkin pancakes with fried chicken, honey, and hot sauce are absurdly delicious. Savory and sweet, two for the price of one.
Awesome brunch, but be prepared to WAIT. Try the Egg Rothkos or the Biscuits & Gravy. Less of a wait for dinner, when you should try the Fried Oyster Sandwich or the Carolina Kale.
