Oakland's own, original coffee company. Been around for a century, and still innovating. The coffee is strong but smooth. They used to supply the coffee for Pan Am - you can still get it here.
It's a combination donut & coffee shop for breakfast and Chinese food takeout for lunch & dinner - and all if it is good.
Lots of cool history with this park. If you're ever at the Oakland Library History Room, take the time to look it up.
Not just good pizza. The pasta is excellent as well - especially the creamy pesto sauce - and they're also one of the few places around thst serves gnocchi (potato pasta).
The theaters (and the movies they show) are worth a trip just by themselves - but so is everything else. See it all, even if you have to come more than once.
