My travel partner enjoyed this meal thoroughly. We waited around 45 minutes as we arrived at 5.15pm for dinner. However I've waited for a longer time during the summer, good but not worth the wait.
A great place to eat Japanese sweet before or after your visit to katsura villa.130 years history, try their famous mugi or chestnut manju sweets. They have tables inside if you can't sit on tatami.

Bohemian style curry restaurant with a lovely garden. Cheerful staff explained the menu to us. Tandoori chicken was succulent paired with brown rice, spinach curry and a craft lager beer.

One of our favorite meals in Japan. Stand at the bar (no seats available) and watch them cook simple, delicious skewers. Order the sake flight and enjoy!

Awesome selections of sake. Ask for recommendations from chef about food and you will never be disappointed. Owner's son speaks fair English and that certainly helps ;)

It is a little hard to find but well worth your time if you want an afternoon spent in a cute tea house with amazing Nama chocolate :3 cute cat called Miao Miao as well!
