Must stop in Taipei. Freshest sashimi! Oysters were amazingly creamy. Skip the uni. The hotpot area is also awesome and can order sashimi etc for same price. Seafood set is cheap for the portion! Yum!
A must for sashimi over rice. Ordered the 海鮮綜合dong that was really fresh and tasty. Order a 散飯 and you get to eat it like nigiri. Grill your own 海苔 too
Seriously good Sukiyaki. They offer traditional flavors as well as spicy options. Great deal all you can eat for abt. 500NT

some good food at the food court. there's also a starbucks hidden up the escalator in the middle of the food court. also PageOne is a good bookstore if you want to browse for books
If you are dinning alone and want to try more things, ask for half orders of Xiao Long Bao. :)
This place serves pretty good fried rice ! The plate I ate had good 'wok hei' and tasted much better than neighboring Din Tai Fung. Order their crab meat & pork xiao long bao and drunken chicken too.
Nice place to bike around, touristy and still has stores. Better if sunny, definitely worth a visit. Take MRT (Red line) to Tamshui station.
if you have spare time definitely go. it's a short 20 minutes hike up the mountain, but it's worth it. you'll get the whole Taipei view and Taipei 101, but I suggest you go at night for the night view
It's good to take a walk. There is big lake and unique district for sight seeing. And there's big and hip bookstore inside of park.

Great selection of local and international beers. The cheese portions are tiny so be prepared to spend around 300-400 NTD for a small platter. Nice interior with the right amount of hipsterism.
Excellent walking street with street food and boutiques. Be sure to explore the side lanes too. Parks & people-watching, easily accessible (directly on the subway exit). Din Tai Fung OG location!
eat Ah Chung noodles standing up, KFC portuguese egg tarts, Yu's Almond Shaved ice & hole in the wall dumpling place. don't forget to shop, shop, shop
Train always packed here as Shilin is a popular spot. Nice n chill to just walk around - many little new shops and eateries!
Famous for their Garlic French Bread. Enjoy the buttery air that embraces you upon entering.
Small club but great beats & a steady stream of very good looking people. Come here if you like hip hop.
