Annika K. Martin: Cute new cafe/bakery with delicious sandwiches and pastries, all made in house. Dinner options too (meatballs!). And don't miss their signature "kitchen sink" cookies!
Kat Hanna: Sit on one of the benches by the East River, toward the top of the park behind Gracie Mansion, and you'll get a cool breeze, a great view and a bit of serenity of soaking up the water vibe!
HISTORY: Gracie Mansion was built in 1799. A different building was commandeered by George Washington on roughly the same site during the American Revolutionary War, as it strategically overlooked Hell Gate.
The New Yorker: George Clinton, the Methuselah of funk, toured a robot exhibit here, and, even with a spiky mop of red, yellow, green, pink, and black braids, he managed to remain invisible to a school of preteens. 続きを読む
