Fabulous short ribs, rustic and peppery. The richness is balanced by celery, horseradish, Castelvetrano olives and lemon. (Lemon makes everything better.) It's gigantic, so you'll want to share it.
It's four—maybe more—restaurants in one! Breakfast: sleepy, quiet, delicious. Lunch: hopping; sit at the bar at back. Afternoon: get bread and cured meat to go. Evening: slammed; yummers.
Porchetta or Short Rib Sandwiches. The grocery is also fantastic. Their focaccia baguette is one of my favorite breads in NYC. Lardo, cheeses, coppa, whipped lard... Everything is delicious!
I've always wanted someone to put shakshuka -- poached egg with spiced tomatoes, tahini, and cilantro -- into a pita to save me the effort of all that dipping. Taboonette has that breakfast sandwich.

Chicken BLT: simple perfection! Kitchen is a little disorganized, but super friendly. Nice array of side salads, wish they also sold chips! A fun addition to the neighborhood, great for picnics!
