Dating from 1475, the Powder Tower was built as one of 13 gates to the city. By the 17th century, it was being used as a gunpowder storage facility - it was at this time that it developed its name.
This structure similar to the Eiffel Tower is one of the best places in Prague to get an amazing view of the beautiful Prague skyline. Also stop by the museum of Jara Cimrman on your way out.
A cosy café with friendly staff. I only had an espresso, but it was well worth the 39 CZK. Possibly some of the best made coffee in the city.

I'd guess they are close to having at least 100 different kinds of small, microbrews and at least 6 continually on tap. There are the odd 3 or 4 big Czech brews...
