Scot Raymond Hanley9月 8, 2013The airport has been renovated. Any tips prior to 2013 are no longer valid. That being said, local fare includes Jim and Nicks BBQ. If you have time, try their Pork plate for a taste of southern BBQ.
I've traveled a lot over the past year, and I have to say Birmingham is one of the friendlier airports I have to go through. The renovations have been a huge plus.プラス投票 1週間前
Elizabeth10月 18, 2015Such a clean and easy airport. If you're flying Delta, head to concourse F for the best sky lounge with a rooftop access area to pass time during long layovers
Only need to be here an hour before flight. Not a busy airport.
Brian Strauss8月 16, 2016Very easy to get in and out of. Extra bonus points for the on-site rental car facility and the Jim N' Nicks BBQ.
The downstairs Starbucks is open until 11pm. Pre-Security. Of course, you can't take food or drink through the TSA checkpoint.
Unlike most big city airports- you really DO need to use a quart sized bag for your 3-1-1 liquids. They are REALLY nice if you "forget." So be nice back:)
The renovations are beautiful! Birmingham is really stepping it up. Make sure to stop by Jim N Nicks if you have time to eat! The catfish is the best!
Since the remodel, it's a pleasure to fly into Birmingham. Make sure to hit up Good People Brewing in concourse A.

FBO makes it super easy for a drop off or fuel spot!! Lots of parking for people meeting you.

TSA lines are relatively short. A few good restaurants. Friendly open atmosphere.

Morgan Freeman's recorded voice plays in this airport to tell you about airport safety.

For the first day of operations the new bhm is very nice. Lots more choices than 5BUCKS for coffee. And better food selections.

The bar at the end of The terminal (concourse C) always has a good pre-flight drink to offer...and personal pizzas!- The Cell Phone Lot is a parking area provided for drivers waiting to pick up arriving passengers. This lot is a free service with no time limit. The Cell Phone Lot is located on Airline Drive
- Airport Remote Parking: $1/hour or $10.00/day The remote lot is intended for passenger parking their vehicles for an extended amount of time.
Marissa Menard1月 17, 2014Parking garage is straight out of a Saw movie and you'll starve to death in the terminal. BUT free wifi and takes less than 10mins to get through security usually
- Best airport in the world to come home to, but bummer taking off from because each terminal is secured, and then no Starbucks or drinks?
- Birmingham tourism information can be found at the Information desk on the ground level near baggage claim. The Information desk can be reached at 599-0500.
Skyler McKinley9月 26, 2010Really simple airport. You can get through security and board within 10 minutes of arriving. Also, the intercom voice sounds like Leo's secretary from the West Wing.- Some airlines may stop checking bags up to 30 minutes prior to departure and begin the boarding process earlier in order to comply with these new federal regulations.
Security is pretty fast an hour early is good and plenty of time for couple beers. Live life™
- The Rental Car Facility can be found on the ground level of the parking facility across from baggage claim.(
Food is limited even BEFORE security. Super short security lines though. You get through in under ten minutes. Least I always have.
