Hidden gem in the West Village. It's an adult playground, like your dream basement on steroids. Pool, shuffle board, board games, ping pong, live jazz, and cheap beer. Grimy, but in a great way.

There is food for EVERYONE here. Imagine a mall food court, except every place is somewhere you actually want to eat. Several delicious options. Tacos, sushi, burgers, lobster, you name it.
This place is hot, it's a dive meets bowling. It couldn't be more fun. You bring your own eats, but get your beer and wine at the friendly bar. Cheap and awesome! A great crowd. You will love it!

Start on the top floor and work your way down through the permanent exhibits to go in chronological order. Otherwise the museum won't make sense.

Come here during sunset for an amazing scenic view of NYC's skyline. Don't walk on the cyclist's path, there's a pedestrian path too. Allocate at least 20 minutes or more to walk through the bridge.

The climbing here is fantastic! Routes and boulder problems are changed often, almost monthly, so you'll never get bored. Great classes, encouraging staff, and an amazing community. Free WiFi too!
Serene art viewing experience; superb art, media, design, and architecture collections; sure. But MoMA is also a transcendent architectural (and New York) experience.

The perfect place to bond- a classic arcade with the best games (new and old)! We love the sports-bar-style setting and American food. We all had a very intense match of Dance Dance Revolution.
$39 admission per person, easily spent 4+ hours here, worth it to try this novelty for first time. Not so sure the cost warrants repeat visits. Very minimal wait on weekdays and staff is friendly.

The Gutter LIC is my jam. An old taxi garage-turned bowling alley with old lanes from Rochester. Stick around awhile, and even if there's a wait, eat some hot dogs and play a little Jenga.

One of my favorite places to get lost in the city. An amazing Oasis in the middle of the cement jungle. Always something for everyone. Make sure to go further in the park and get away from tourists.

Fairly easy climb: short, but steep at times. Pay attention to the trail markers, navigating can be a little tricky. The view from the top is beautiful!

Some of the best views of the Hudson River from this park, and not as crowded as other parks along the West Side highway. Great place to catch a summer concert.
