This is where the 2nd World War started. Look at the Outpost Fort and take a walk to the monument from which a wonderful view of the Bay of #Gdansk, the Nothern Port and Nowy Port district opens up.
The only plastered building of this type in the city. This 15th century structure of the White Tower was completely destroyed during the war and only rebuilt in the 1980s.
One of the few military facilities in the middle of the Old Town in #Gdansk - its interior recently renovated and transformed into an interesting cultural spot, music club and gallery "Bunkier".
Stone Sluice was not only part of the defensives but protected from floods. Look at the two ravelins "pig's-heads" and four tall turrets "Four Virgins" which blocked enemy access across the bulkheads.
