My favorite museum in Paris. Great impressionist and post-impressionist collection, and you can see the whole thing in a day without breaking a sweat.
The rest of the museum is cool, but if I went again I'd pay just for garden entrance, which is only one Euro. From there, see some of Rodin's most famous works, including The Thinker.
No reservations, cash only, you don't choose your seat and the toilet is a hole in the floor. The place opened over a century ago and has never changed. One hell of an experience!
Crowded and small but a must-see for cheese lovers. All sorts of things you can't find in the U.S. Sometimes there is a small farmers market out front, which makes for a great combo.
Best croissants. No competition. No seating here for retail (though there is a sit down restaurant) so get your pain au chocolat and take it to a nearby park.
Fun fact: Julia Child bought her first cooking tools here in 1948! You'll still see chefs in their uniforms coming in to buy supplies, which are tucked into every corner and hanging from the ceiling.
Kind of like a more permanent Brooklyn Flea with lots of food counters and restaurants. Come for lunch; not much happening at breakfast.
Amazing super old school tea shop. Fun fact: they do not want you to take pictures in here. Oops.

This quintessential bistro has some amazing French cuisine to offer, from coq au vin to boeuf bourguignonne! After dinner take a stroll along the Seine river which is 200 feet away.
Perfect wine resto - set menu, you pick wine from the wall and pay 7 euros over retail price
Not a big selection but the quality is superb. If you love dark chocolate, come here and get the ganache. Yum!

I was skeptical, but Laduree really is worth the trip. There are two lines: one to dine in, one to take out. Go to the fast-moving take out line and get the best macarons you've ever had.
One of my favorite restaurants in paris. The kind of place you want to spend a chill evening. Great food and great wine.
Some of the best chocolates in Paris, sold by one of the most fun characters in Montmartre. Pick out chocolates with a white glove and place them on a silver tray.

Concerts (artistes de partout, soirées Nova...etc), galerie d'artistes, et bière à boire sur le canal saint martin juste devant. Très convivial et bobo.
Open until late, lots of tables, comfortable atmosphere, young crowd, reasonably priced. Duck confit was great, and the cheese course portions were generous. Great hang out spot.
stop by after Marche Aligre to try wine by the glass with some yummy cheese & terrine, or oysters in winter
Happy hour from 5-6 (17-18h) buy one glass of wine, get 2nd glass of SAME wine free.

Brilliant simple french food at decent (for Paris) prices. Lovely interior and friendly local service. Get three courses as the deserts are worth it.

Great market with a huge selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The market vendors also have very affordable vintage clothing and fantastic antiques!
Un pain de qualité même si faut en payer le prix. Le chausson aux pommes avec sa compote maison est une merveille. A découvrir leur spécialité la gourmandise aux poires et chocolat.

Brilliant restaurant. Highly recommeded for someone interested in a great culinary experience in a casual Parisian Bistro.
This Catholic Church/basilica in Montmartre (highest point in the city) has stunning Romanesque-Byzantine architecture. Don't miss the Christ in Majesty (one of the biggest mosaics in the world).

A must-see for people looking to see the less-touristy side of Paris. Two giant rooms full of animal skeletons, from frogs to whales to dinosaurs. My favorite was the narwhal.
Tiny fabulous creperie. Make a reservation, then order crepes with sunny side up eggs peaking out of the middle. Then, order dessert crepes with chocolate. Then, order a liter of cider. Then, sleep.
A cute English bakery/cafe -- perfect if you're craving a non-French lunch. Also, the hand soap they have in the bathroom is amazing
Hip, cozy wine bar with an excellent small menu that changes daily. Come before 8pm or make a reservation; this place fills up. Our favorite place we ate in Paris.
Go all the way through the back wall to get to the bar, but really, all you need are the TACOS, ESSE.
Order the hamburger with muffin bread, and order it 'bleu' which stands for 'very rare'. You'll get one of the best burgers you've ever had - if you like red meat, that is.
Touristy and overpriced but totally worth it. The giant pitcher of piping hot chocolat chaud will knock your socks off.
Make a reservation, then get the steak frites. Delicious and reasonably priced, attractive atmosphere.
Picturesque, and actually not that overpriced for a museum restaurant in Paris. Enjoy the light coming in from the giant clock at Orsay, have a glass of wine, and recharge for more art.
