A beautiful and historic park, this was one of the first homes of the Birmingham Zoo (early 1900s) and the site of a Civil War skirmish. Now a great walking trail, sports park, lake, and amphitheater.

Amazing pizza and very chill attitude. You can also grab a beer next door at Avondale and walk through their connecting door without leaving the restaurant.
Different brewery than most. Laid back atmosphere with food trucks usually and skee ball inside.
Can't find a seat? Take your food to go over to Avondale Brewing and have some beer with your meal.
Dogs are welcome on the back patio, great atmosphere, great drinks, great bartenders, great bar....and also was a great place to live :)
Ask Steva (@stealmyrecords) at the bar to make you a drink... Don't order from the menu.
Great consignment shop for clothing ranging from the ordinary to wacky with a wide mix of accessories as well. They have a large men's selection in the back left corner.

Excellent sound system, damn fine coffee, cold Guinness, water for those not buying drinks at the shows, and hosting bands AL hasn't seen in years? WIN WIN WIN. Add a few chairs on the elevated areas?
Moscow Mule is a must. Guinness on tap, too. Great atmosphere - very well done + they have cool matches :)
It has a long line, but I'm willing wait a while for great food like this. Get the Mac Melt and add bacon to it. AMAZING!!!!
Sunday Jazz Brunch is great! Arrive around 2 pm to avoid the wait for a table, or go to the bar which is first come first served.
