Planty surrounds the city like a beautiful hug. It used to be the moat The surrounded the town walls, but was later filled in and planted with trees.

This is Krakow's main square. It was built in the 1200s and was named the world's most beautiful square by Lonely Planet.
Walk up the steep walkway & enjoy the garden + cafes for FREE. If you want to look inside the castle or cathedral, you can purchase a ticket, but really the best part is outside or dragons den.
Honestly - I would skip the staterooms. They were impressive, but really not much info, so you don't know what you're looking at. Plus there are guards in every room telling you to not take picstures

A large, quiet coffeeshop just a block of two from the main square. Their coffee is better than anything you'll find in the square. Big picture windows so you can people watch.
Very popular spot. Smooth flat white. They sell healthy snacks, kimchi+hummus & pastries. You can buy coffee beans here & have them ground.
We indulged in multiples course of seafood & a steak covered with kampot peppers (we’ve been missing since our time in Cambodia!) Get the beet & goat cheese mousse! Best service we had in Krakow.
All kinds of pierogi are great! Good news for all light-eaters - you can order a half portion :)
A local gem & feels so authentic. Nestled right above the river, the interior looks like a medieval bar & we loved it. You can grill your own sausages & steaks outside.
Located in the arcade in the main square, you can find almost any souvenir you need. The prices are actually pretty great for some items.

After living in Lisbon I thought it was impossible to find a delicious nata outside of Portugal. I was wrong. These natas are so soft and delicate, it’s hard to eat just one. Coffee was delicious!
They sell coffee beans! And a few matte sodas. Lots of different seating to bring your laptop and work on the free wifi.

2 must things before visiting: 1) Watch Schindler’s List 2) Reserve a ticket online at least a few days/week in advance. I was 30 min late to my reserved time & they didn’t seem to mind too much.
Free entry without tour guide before 10am or after 5pm. They only have a select number of these tickets. Buy the guide book from the bookstore, it tells you EVERYTHING you need to know for 25pln
