So many of Taipei's best restaurants are on/just off this street. Skip Din Tai Fung if it's too crowded, and opt for many of the other delicious restaurants!

Sparadise is the best spa in Taipei. Their Spa Symphony treatment lasts 3 hours and leaves you in complete bliss.

A huge luxury mall with lots of shopping options. Most are international brands, though, so not super local.
I personally enjoyed the xiao long bao here more than Din Tai Fung. The shrimp fried rice is also stellar!
