Duck club is one of the best sandwiches in the city. The bar is Katz's and this comes close.
Start with any of the pies, especially the King Salami or Paul's Boutique (Katz Pastrami) and end with the "branded" chocolate cake. Oh the apps are great too :)
Want to kill your productivity post lunch with a meat-induced coma? Go for their famous Smoked Meat sandwich with cured brisket, mustard, and rye. It's a worthwhile and cheaper rival to Katz's.
$10 for their pastrami sandwich served hot on rye with a pickle, help yourself mustard. Thinly-sliced, fattier and drier than Katz's but also cheaper, can sit at bar and can finish it!
Best pastrami in NYC, yes better than Katz's! Love the old school vibe & cranky waitresses.
