Despite the run-down nature of the bus terminal, the Freedom Card Customer Service Center in the Broadway PATCO station is generally safe during rush hour. Just people adding TransitCheks.
There's only one exit area at the station, so stick to the rear WB and the front EB for the exit.
Transferring from PATCO to MFL westbound? Be at the rear door of the 5th car (last on a 4 car train) to align with the up escalator. Makes for a quick transfer.
This is the only station that closes at nights. From 12:15 am to 4:45 am, you'll have to walk to either 12-13 or 8th/Market.
Heading to the stadiums? Pickup a discounted transfer from a PATCO ticket machine in NJ. And, the front of the train gets you closest to the Broad Street Line.
