Beef sukiyaki is amazing. The cheapest is already very good (at least by western standard) but we also tried the medium quality and that was mind blowing melt in mouth. Not a cheap place but worth it!
Curry chicken on rice for NT250 sounds expensive but you get spacious air conditioned seating away from the heat and tourist noise.
Plenty of Peking duck meat & pancakes, cooked & served perfectly, great ambience. Crispy skin! Service excellent. Noodles worth $10 top up. Did not feel cheated for once w/ full duck (no 1/2 option).
Try the vegetables with deep fried enoki mushroom on top. This proves that you can deep fry mushrooms and make them amazing. Also try the garlic pork even though it's not listed on the menu.
Watch out for the hot lemon tea - it's really just English breakfast tea with a slice of lemon for $2.10. Tip: just get the soda.
Fried rice with five spice pork is good. The rice is tasty, not too saltish or dry. Small amount of carrots and corn mixed in but lots of yummy pork. Presentation is not the best but would order again
Chicken chop pasta from a corner hawker store doesn't sound promising but it's amazing every time. Highly recommend especially the chicken chop or spring chicken on rice. Pasta is tasty as are chips.
