Shelly McM9月 23, 2013Went to Art in the Park! It is going on every Sunday in Sept. & October. Chance to create your own art masterpiece. Also saw the Autumn Equinox performance. It was an amazing show even for the adults!

Great art museum especially in the summer, good exhibits and a good permanent collection
You have to check backpacks, but if you're using it as a diaper bag, you can take it in if you wear it across your chest. Also, kids are not allowed to ride on parents' shoulders in the galleries.

It's an excellent place to spend weekends. Every time I come I will see a lot of different stuffs. Amazing.
HISTORY7月 15, 2010The Museum first opened to the public in 1906 under the John Herron Art Institute & was later moved here to its permanent residence in1910 where more than 5000 residents came out for the opening night

Daniel Simpson11月 16, 2010The Rocky Horror Show is a must do every year, but make sure you get there early if you are not a member or you will not get in.- The grounds are beautiful, great place for a picnic! LOTS of photographers and families/students/couples taking advantage of the photo ops, too.

If you look like a professional photographer, they *will* make you put your gear away. They now require a $50/day or $400/year pass to be a pro... and they *do* check.

Parking in the main lot and garage is $5 for the public, free for members. The north lot and outlying lots are still free.

- Their new pay-to-park is pretty lame, but free parking can still be had on the grounds.
