- Behrad Eats7月 30, 2013Mondays are All You Can Eat brisket, pork spare ribs, market chicken & sides. I recommend the mac & cheese, sweet potato bourbon mash & corn pudding. Make sure to go there hungry, it's a lot of food!

Very good barbecue (though pricey). Best part of Hill Country is the downstairs concerts. You can grab a drink and enjoy some really great music.
Matt Boggs8月 12, 2020I love this place. A great spot after a Sunday at a museum nearby. I do warn you though a pitcher of margarita and a delicious meal here will put you in a food coma for the rest of the day.

The moist brisket is incredible, there are great margarita pitchers, shiner on tap, $3 PBRs, karaoke downstairs on Wednesdays and old school country on Thursdays. Perfection. Avoid the potato salad.
Go on Mondays for the all you can eat deal. The brisket (moist) is the thing to get but also love the ribs; the coleslaw is great too.
I love all the food at HC (never had a bad experience). However, try to avoid a 2-top if you are able.The smaller table can be constraining while you're trying to get your eat on.
Get the platter(s) and a margarita pitcher. Great brisket and pulled pork. The "Hill" has to one of the best BBQ I have ever had. And I have been to Tenn. and TX. You will not go wrong with this place. It easily competes with other well named BBQ restaurants.

The market chicken is delicious! Juicy and tender with an amazing sauce/rub on the skin. Don't forget the mac and cheese!

Lean, wet, or burnt ends Brisket - all good. Corn bread, coleslaw and Mac and cheese darn good too.
You're gonna laugh...but their Devil Eggs are AMAZING. The BBQ sauce on the wings is great as well. If you ever need some wings and are downtown / Chinatown? Make that happen...
The menu says the red velvet cake feeds two. Really it's so big you could feed four people with a slice. So get it to share. It's delicious.

Go with the brisket (moist over lean) and get the corn pudding or mac and cheese. Skip the cornbread, it was dry. Awesome bar scene with live band karaoke.- Moist brisket is the standout, hands down. Sausage and chicken are good, ribs just ok. Specials change daily, usually excellent.
