Nao T. • 5月 14, 2015カリフォルニア・科学アカデミー新館：レンゾ・ピアノ（2008）。展示室のほか、水族館、プラネタリウム、亜熱帯研究室などが一つの建物に集められた、世界最大規模の自然科学博物館。地球環境保護がテーマであり、細かくしたデニム生地を断熱材に使用するなどの工夫が随所にみられる。丘のような屋上には、さまざまな植物が生い茂る。

Nao T. • 5月 14, 2015デ・ヤング美術館：ヘルツォーク＆ド・ムーロン（2005）。アメリカの美術作品を中心に収集するサンフランシスコで最も歴史ある美術館。建物を覆った銅版は網目状になっており、そこから木漏れ日のような日差しが注ぎ込む。潮風により発生した緑色の錆も美しい。９階建の塔の最上階には展望台があり、360度サンフランシスコの景色が楽しめる。
