Takes a solid 3.5 hrs to climb from TelefériQo. The last 30 min is hard: scrambling up loose rocks with no clear path. Be sure to follow knowledgeable people & do not go alone. Cold at the top.
There's a second floor! Chocolates, alpaca yarn, oils, shoes, bags, ceramics, hats, soap, they have it all. The best curation of Ecuadorian design & craft that I've seen in Quito.
Avoid the crowds & dine in peace upstairs! The ravioli (mussel, squid ink pasta) is light & delicious. The goat cheese mousse is a precious, airy dessert, while the tiramisù is unique. ~€18 per plate.
Very off the beaten path for tourists. Surprising number of tables: check out the back lower room! Nothing special other than good older local watching. Service is very accommodating (free shot or 2).
Pecorino & Gorgonzola are some of odd flavors to choose from. Pistachio is a bit on the savory side. They have a variety of single source chocolate flavors from specific beans. All scoops €1 each!
Surprisingly spacious. Great, diverse beer selection. Very friendly staff, helping me choose a dinner destination in broken English. Bar bites are satisfying. Maybe 5 customers on a Sunday evening.
THE best ice cream in Rome, by far. 2 flavors (the pistachio is unique & delicious), freshly handmade cones (very crunchy, like a cookie w/ brittle), & w/ liquid white/dark chocolate for only €4(!?).
Traditional "pay first, hand receipt over (ice cream) bar later" system. Incredibly soft gelato. Many many flavours. Quick, easy, & delicious.
They rotate the style of croquetas & tortillas often, but the squid ink w/ squid meat croquetas were to die for. Good wine list, decent service. Definitely gets crowded: was packed by 12:30 on Tues.
One of the better Aspire lounges in the network. Unsure what the Priority Pass site means by "after Customs & Immigration"—not true. Good breakfast sausage & eggs.
When Dishoom is swamped (which it will be), head up to Punjab for a bit more history & down to earth flare. The "Hot" dishes are not unbearable, which is nice. Huge menu!

"Three chili" dishes are actually quite spicy. Loved #30 w/ chicken. Small restaurant (maybe six tables) but not terribly busy.
Not sure if a priority security line exists, but security moves relatively quickly. Clean! Plenty of good food choices in T2, fewer on non-Schengen side. Be careful as status announcements are rare.
Very friendly service. The espresso martinis are airy & scrumptious. Fast wifi. Surprisingly diverse menu of coffee based cocktails! Great place to hang out.
Incredible date spot. Service is deliberately steady & very high end. I'd skip the chicken & go for the scallops & any beef or fish. Obviously very pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Very good service & the best, relatively traditional Indian food, all with a touch of class. Soft shell crab & strawberry kulfi are musts. Lamb curry is awesome. Better than just about every NY joint.
So you get in line 30 min before the 5pm 12 burger bar service (although they only have 9 bar stools). You wait another hr because you were 10/12. Incredible & worth it. Place doesn't fill up till 8.
Small-ish selection, but I love the store itself. Heavy, design-forward materials and minimalist feel give the clothing a great back-drop. Can't go wrong with Acne. Lovely, approachable service, too!
The mirrored windows keep this joint low-key. The food inside is incredible. Fresh daily menus written up with an impressive array of local seafood. A few local drinks, too. Blackened style is bomb!
Get here at least an hr before opening. The wait gets INSANE (like min 2 hr for 2 on the weekend). Oyster selection is to die for. Tons of Maine lobster on that hot roll. Service is delightful.
Grab bottles at the wine shop entrance, find a table in the open air backyard (or up in the restaurant, although not as fun), & quickly place an order for olives, meat, & cheese. Incredible music!
Perfect stop for a quick breakfast burrito & coffee before hitting the slopes. If you aren't après-skiing at the base, drop by on your way out for drinks to stay & to go.
