Carlos Russo: Where to begin? Porchetta is amazing. Red Hook Lobster Pound is worth it. Kelvin's is great on a hot day (or any day really). Literally loved everything we tried.
Claire J Song: the luxurious dry aged burger lives up to the hype, it's the tavern's marrow bone-crowned côte du boeuf for two. excellent lamb saddle, as well as New York strip and Roquefort-smothered filets.
Brew York: Patrick Donagher has done it again. 30 rotating tap lines at two bars, growler fills, well-executed food, and a big backyard. Grab an NY brew ($5 from 11-7) and marvel at the bad-ass draft system.
Ashley Simon: self-anointed WORLDS BEST mac n cheese, but try the grilled sandwiches too. head down to the cellar if you want some booze with yo cheese.
Dens: Best grilled salmon, best scallops, best oysters to be found in the East Village. Killer $12 oysters & beers happy hour too. Nothing on the menu disappoints.

Noah Weiss: Trendy, inventive Mexican food that is 30% too expensive for small portions -- but worth trying anyways. Awesome tequila / mescal cocktails. Uni tostada with bone marrow and burrita are great.

Alex Rainert: If you like delicious breakfast sandwiches, you've come to the right place. I bet they're all good but if you can only have one, hop on this guy: egg, crispy bacon, Grafton cheddar on ciabatta.
Serious Eats: Grilled Cheese with Chorizo and Bacon: Chorizo and bacon? It may sound like overkill, but when you take a crazy-buttery bite, you won't mind at all.
