"This building was built in 1879, and burned down in 1890. A stone marks the northeast corner of the structure, placed by Dr. William Beal, who built and worked in the building."

"In 2009, Archaeologists discovered the Northeast Corner of College Hall, MSU's 1st building built in 1855, under the sidewalk running along the east side of Beaumont. The building collapsed in 1918."

"Beaumont was erected in 1928. It marks the northeast corner of College Hall, the nation's first building dedicated to agricultural science and the first building on MSU's campus, built in 1855."

"Morrill was built in 1900 to serve as the 1st dorm for MSC women. Called the "coop" by male students, female students who lived there had to follow many different rules then their male counterparts."
