Vegetarians: Try the soyrizo burrito. Also, even their refried beans are vegan. Plus their amazing homemade salsa. Combine all three: dang.
Go to Taqueria Cancun. Get any super burrito. Expect to only eat a half of it as it's filled to the gills with beans and meat and rice and avocado. (ridiculously worth it, tho.)
The Mission District is full of Mexican joints, but La Taqueria's devotion to quality meats and dynamic salsas have earned it its spot in the San Fran culinary hall of fame.
Get the fish tacos, then use a chip to cover the far end of the taco. Nothing spills out! The final bite of taco you eat off the chip.
Generous portions, reasonable price. Their al pastor meat is one of the best I've ever had anywhere.
Get the Geisha's Kiss and share some Lava Nachos. Then walk over to Yerba Buena Gardens to eat al fresco. So good and definitely worth the wait.
